The driver improvement course is an eight-hour course, including the final test, and is designed to rehabilitate problem drivers and improve driver safety. You can earn points on your license every 24 months.
Driver's Manual Course
The driver's manual course is an eight-hour course based on the Virginia Driver's Manual and is designed to better prepare individuals for the knowledge test. All individuals must return to the DMV to take the knowledge test a fourth time.
Escort Vehicle Driver Certification Training
The escort vehicle driver certification training is an eight-hour course that is required for individuals who provide escort driving for certain over-dimensional or overweight loads. Upon completion, the student may take the certification exam at the DMV.
