Online Driver Improvement Course

Welcome to the Online Driver Improvement Course!

Top Notch Driving Schools Inc. has been licensed by the DMV and partnered with 3A Method Driving School to provide our students with the Virginia Online Driver Improvement Course curriculum in English and Spanish.

The course consists of at least 8 hours of instruction and includes components about alcohol safety, aggressive driving, distracted driving and pedestrian and bicycle safety.

The Course Fee per Individual is $60

In order to benefit from the course, you must be able to work independently and be comfortable with using a computer (mobile devices are not recommended).

Reasons Why You May NOT Take this Online Course

  • If you are under age 20, this computer-based course will not satisfy a driver improvement clinic requirement. You must satisfactorily complete a clinic that provides classroom instruction

  • If you were convicted of the traffic violation when you were under the age of 20.

  • If you are required to attend a commercial driver improvement clinic.

If any of these conditions apply, you are not eligible to take an online driver improvement course. Instead, you must satisfactorily complete a driver improvement course that provides classroom instruction.

It is your responsibility to determine if your court accepts this computer-based driver improvement course to satisfy a court required driver improvement course. If the court will grant you safe driving points then you must present the court document with that stated on it.
