2022 Summer In-Car Classes are Full.
You must complete the course within six (6) months of the course start date.
The course fee is $70.
All online courses are non-refundable.
The online driver improvement clinic course is an eight-hour course, including the final test, and is designed to rehabilitate problem drivers. The course must be completed in its entirety before the issuance of a certificate of completion. The online driver improvement course and the final test must be completed through a DMV-licensed online driver improvement clinic. No paper test is permitted.
To benefit from the course, you must be able to work independently and be comfortable with using a computer.
If you are required to attend a commercial driver improvement clinic, then this computer-based course will not satisfy a driver improvement clinic requirement. You must satisfactorily complete a clinic that provides CDL classroom instruction.
Your court may or may not accept the certificate of completion for this computer-based course. It is your responsibility to determine whether your court accepts courses taken at online traffic schools. Customers directed by the court must provide documentation from the court before safe driving points can be awarded.
The certificate will be electronically transmitted (email) to all individuals upon completion of the course within 24 hours. If you complete the course during office hours, you will receive the certificate the same day. The delivery is not immediate. A staff member creates the certificate.
We visit the post office once per day to send out mail. If you complete the course before the day's mail run, your certificate gets mailed the same day.
Holidays, Weekends, and After Office Hours Information:
On holidays, weekends, and after office hours, you will receive the certificate on the next business day. If you know you need the certificate by a specific date or time, make sure you complete the course in advance. Our staff will not change their schedule to meet last-minute requests.
After you set up your student account, the system automatically sent you a welcome email. You need this email because it has the course link for login access.
If you do not see the welcome email in your inbox, go to your spam or junk folder and search for an email from email@example.com. Our email often gets flagged as spam by most email providers.
Now, if you do not see the email in your inbox or spam, you entered your email incorrectly when you set up your student account. Call 757-926-5956 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to provide your correct email address for us to manually send the welcome email.
Students having difficulties or experiencing problems may email us at email@example.com. Only if the DMV has requested that you give them the certificate. The driving school will electronically submit your completion to the DMV. Your completion of the online driver improvement clinic will be posted to your driving record within 24 hours of the completion date of the course.
The Virginia DMV uses a point system to rate drivers. You receive demerit points for unsafe driving and safe driving points for good driving.
Demerit points are assigned when you are convicted of a traffic violation. The demerit points associated with a conviction remain valid for two years from the date you commit the offense. Different violations carry different point assignments, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
Drivers who are DMV directed or who have volunteered may receive 5 points upon completion. The maximum number of positive points you can have on your driving record is five. You may take the course for points every 24 months.
